About Me
I am an animal-loving, 34-year-old entrepreneur & music producer working full-time from home.
I’ve been taking care of everything from cats & dogs, to horses, since I was 10 years old. I have experience caring for dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and needs.
I have a dog of my own (Charlie, pictured next to me). He’s just over 2 & as friendly as they come—Charlie gets along with all sizes and temperaments—very submissive, does great with both alphas and others.
I work from home, so I’m always around. I also understand the trust involved in leaving your beloved pet’s care in the hands of someone else.
My house has a massive fenced-in yard.

Happy Pups, Happy Parents
Testimonials from past clients...

Our 2 huskies stayed at his house for 5 days, he has a perfect backyard set-up for dogs, fully fenced in (huskies are escape artists) that was very secure and he seemed to let them find their spots inside as they wanted when it was time to rest. Our dogs are used to finding comfy spots around the house and Jared let them treat his home like it was what they were used to. We got picture and video updates along the way letting us know how they were doing.
Jared's dog Charlie was super sweet and you can tell he loves all peple and dogs, our boys loved being around him and even got one of our dothat doesn't play/socialize much to play with him. It made us very happy with our choice to use Jarefor our boarding needs, couldn't recommend him more. We've had hit or miss experiences with Rover previously, Jared is the best by far. Thank you!

But if you feel like you received anything less than 5-star service, I’d love to hear from you directly so we can make it right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Booking Process
What happens after I submit my request?
We’ll get back to you via your preferred contact method — text, email, or call — within 24 hours. Usually much quicker.
Do I need a meet & greet before my dog's first stay?
Yes — a meet & greet is required before every first stay. It’s a quick, casual visit where we get to know your dog and make sure everyone’s a good fit.
Have a special circumstance? If you’re traveling from out of town or have a tight timeline, give us a call or text at (231) 499-4048 and we’ll work something out.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as possible. Since we operate at limited capacity, we tend to stay booked 2–4 weeks out, and 6–8 weeks out during holidays and high-traffic periods like spring break.
Our calendar opens six months in advance, with new availability releasing on the 1st of each month. The sooner you book after your meet & greet, the better your chances of locking in your dates.
Plans change? No worries — we have a flexible cancellation policy with full refunds available when cancelled in advance.
When is payment due?
Since we operate at limited capacity, your spot is secured once payment is received. Ready to get started? Submit your dates here and we’ll take it from there.
About the Stay:
Will you crate my dog?
No — we’re a crate-free, in-home boarding setup. Dogs are free to roam, relax on dog-friendly furniture, and make themselves at home. Puppies and younger dogs have a dedicated kitchen area, while mature dogs enjoy full access to the house.
If your dog is more comfortable in a crate, just let us know — we’re happy to accommodate.
What does a typical day look like for my dog?
Our days start early! Here’s the general rhythm:
- Morning: Dogs head outside first thing, followed by breakfast
- Daytime: A mix of supervised outdoor play in our large, fenced yard and relaxation time inside — dogs are in and out throughout the day
- Evening: Dinner around 5–6 PM, more outdoor time, and a final trip out right before bed
Every dog is different — if your pup has a special routine, dietary needs, or medications, we’re happy to accommodate.
Do you take my dog on walks?
We don’t do traditional walks. Instead, dogs get plenty of exercise through supervised play in our large, fenced yard throughout the day. For most dogs, this is far more stimulating and tiring than a walk!
Is someone home with my dog overnight?
Yes, we live here. This is our home, and we’re always here overnight.
How do you make sure my dog is comfortable?
Every dog goes through a meet & greet before their first stay so we can get to know their personality and energy level. We only accept dogs that are a good fit for a group environment.
During their stay, dogs are grouped by temperament so every dog gets the right vibe:
- High-energy, social dogs get plenty of supervised play and interaction
- Calmer, more independent dogs get their own space to relax without being overwhelmed
Our goal is simple — your dog should feel comfortable and at home the entire time they’re here.
What do I need to bring for my dog?
Just their food. That’s it.
You’re welcome to bring your dog’s bed if they typically use one at home, but it’s totally optional. We have plenty of comfortable spots for them.
If your dog takes any medications or supplements, bring those along too.
Logistics
What are your drop-off and pick-up times?
Boarding: Our standard window is 6:30 AM to 10 PM. We’re flexible and can accommodate earlier or later times for boarding if needed, which may incur a small additional fee.
Daycare: We’ll work out a regular drop-off and pick-up schedule with you that fits your routine.
Where are you located?
We’re located in downtown Traverse City:
310 S Division St Traverse City, MI 49684
Please access the property from the alley behind the house via 6th or 7th Street. Look for a silver Honda Pilot with kayak racks. We’ll meet you in the yard.
Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccinations?
Yes. We require the following vaccinations to be current and on file before your dog’s first stay:
- DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
- Rabies
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
We also highly recommend the Canine Influenza (CIV) vaccine.
You can upload vaccination records through your client portal, or send them to us directly via text (231-499-4048) or email ([email protected]). If anything is expired or missing, we’ll let you know before your stay.
